My Story

I started surfing in 1980, driving up and down the coast searching for waves and out of necessity learned to repair my own boards. After a few years I began working with some guys that had experience working in the surfboard factory. I learned more about repairs and the construction of polyester boards.

I was introduced to David Barnes, the owner of Seasoned Surfboards and Fibercraft Inc. I bought materials from him and received advice on surfboard repair and construction. I would watch and learn from the artisans in the factory. 1992 I built my first board in my apartment. I was able to ride it and continue to ride my own boards to this day.

After 50+ boards I began working with Fibercraft Inc. having them laminate my boards. Things changed and businesses started closing, Clark foam closed and a couple years later so did Fibercraft. I changed materials from polyester glass to epoxy carbon fiber in 2006, I have more experience in carbon fiber than most designers
